Teacher

Ángel MARTÍN-SANZ
Repertoire・Pas-de-deux・Contemporary
Ángel MARTÍN-SANZ is a professional ballet dancer born in Spain. He graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Dance “Mariemma” in Madrid (2017) and has danced since then in European ballet companies such as the Greek National Opera (Greece), Krakow Opera Ballet (Poland) and Teatrul de Balet Sibiu (Romania), and has toured all around Europe with ballets from the classical repertory as well as neoclassical and contemporary works. Since 2017, MARTÍN-SANZ has developed his career as a choreographer and a teacher, creating pieces for companies and ballet schools in Spain, Greece, Poland and Romania. In his workshops and seminars, he emphasizes the work on musicality and expression, which considers some of the biggest allies of any dancer. In his classical and contemporary workshops in Studio FÜR, which will take place during the months of March and April, he will focus on complementing the technique with a deep understanding of the character's motivation and the story behind the steps, not only to enrich your dancing, but to make it meaningful. Elements like Nikiya’s purity hands over her shoulders (La Bayadère) against the black swan’s fierce and sharp dynamics (Swan Lake) are not a complement to your dancing, but the core of why we move: the story we are trying to tell.
